NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN
The Localism Act 2011 gave local communities the right to produce a development plan. The Neighbourhood Plan allows communities to determine and influence the type and nature of development they want to see in their area. It does not stop development, but allows the community have an influence in the types of properties and amenties.
Coggeshall Parish Council applied to Braintree District Council to submit a neighbourhood plan on behalf of the community so that we could have that voice. Following a meeting in April 2015 an independent group was created and they are working hard to produce the plan. They have their own website which can be found at the following link.
