Responsibilities:
The Sports & Recreation Committee has the delegated authority from Coggeshall Parish
Council:
- To monitor the following Parish Council's open spaces: The Recreation Ground; Fabians Play area; Old School Green; and Dampier Road Nature Reserve
- That full inspection sheets to be completed by the outside staff each week (The play equipment at the Recreation Ground, Fabians and Old School Green.)
- The Committee can initiate any new facilities within the open spaces, e.g. play areas. (The costs of any new facilities are to be within the annual agreed budget and is submitted to the Full Council for approval.)
- Liaise with the Clerk to ensure that he/she is fully aware of the committee's requirements as to work to be carried out in the open spaces and is in receipt of all quotations for work to be carried out.
- In consultation with the RFO, shall monitor that expenditure is in line with the budgets approved by the Council.
