The mobile police station and community office is staffed by a Police Constable with a team of service desk assistants and, where possible a representative from the local authority. This station will be parked at specific locations, where the PC will patrol the area and the service desk assistant will be on hand to deal with most enquiries that you would normally attend a police station for. The local authority representative will be able to supply information on a wide range of council matters. Please make use of this excellent resource which will be especially helpful to those people who find it difficult to get to a police station.
The Mobile Police Unit will be in the car park, Stoneham Street on the following dates in 2008 between 10.30 am to 12.30 pm

HELP OUR POLICE TO HELP OUR COMMUNITY

A Neighbourhood Watch scheme has been established in Coggeshall.

We now need more co-ordinators for individual streets or neighbourhoods to assist in the distribution of information received from the police, or other co-ordinators, to help to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in our community. The elderly or infirm, especially those living alone, find great comfort from knowing that there is someone near at hand whom they can contact if they are concerned about such problems. If you think that you can play any part in this initiative please telephone 01376  562444 and ask for Don Shearman,  or  01376 564068  Click for the Neighbourhood Watch newsletter

REPORT CRIME AND ANTI- SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR!

If you see a crime being committed or are the target of criminal or severe anti-social behaviour, PLEASE ring 999.  You may be required to give your name to the police, but it will be kept strictly confidential.

If crime is NOT reported, the police can do NOTHING to remedy the situation.
