There is no bank in Coggeshall, but basic banking facilities are available at the Post Office and there is a cash machine in East Street by the Post Office and there is also one inside the Co-Op.

Early closing day in Coggeshall is Wednesday, but some shops remain open, including the Post Office. The Post Office is closed on Saturday afternoon. A Market is held every Thursday morning in Stoneham Street. The newsagent in Church Street has a newspaper delivery service and newspapers are available from the Co-Op and Spar stores.

Colchester Co-operative Society operates a milk delivery round - to arrange delivery telephone the Braintree depot - 01376 321578
