Coggeshall Village Hall - Refurbishment
|
PARISH COUNCIL AND COGGESHALL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION JOIN FORCES TO FUND REFURBISHMENT OF THE VILLAGE HALL The £90,000 refurbishment programme in the main hall and Annex of the village hall is now complete, thanks to a most generous and sizeable grant from the Coggeshall Community Association and significant funding from Coggeshall Parish Council. Grants were also obtained from Braintree District Council‘s Rural Development Fund, Essex County Council’s Community Initiative Fund, Blackwater Aggregates and Coggeshall Village Hall Association, whilst Coggeshall Museum provided pictures for the ‘bistro’ and Youth Council Chamber and funding for the artificial plants. Following on from the Main Hall refurbishment, a wheelchair access ramp has been provided between there and the Keys Room; the Keys Room Foyer has been fully refurbished and new burglar and fire alarms installed across the whole building. As part of the overall refurbishment of the village hall, the former ‘ladies toilet’ area at the entrance to the hall has been converted into a spacious modern council office. |
